EMMAUS PUBLIC LIBRARY PARTNERSHIP

LAA was awarded a Fine Arts Grant by Lehigh Valley Arts Council which helped us create a gallery space with a hanging system and a free lecture/workshop series at the Emmaus Public Library. This series continues and has brought quality fine art instruction and lectures to hundreds in the community. The gallery space, which is free to LAA members, has been filled each month by a different LAA artist and is another way for artists to utilize the membership in LAA. We added an extension of the hanging system to increase available space.

The Emmaus Public Library space holds 30 to 35 works, with the expansion of the hanging system. This is a great space to hold a solo exhibition. We also assist in planning, composing, and hanging member exhibits at the EPL. This space is open to all LAA Members for solo or group exhibits. Starting 2024, exhibits are now held for two months at a time.

The Emmaus Public Library also publishes and promotes the featured artist in the Belong Newsletter with an article to its membership. They also archive the past interviews on its website.
